our Impact

Our climate commitment

Our impact report for 2023 is here.

We’re really proud to launch our first impact guide for 2023. This year, we focus on our entire business impact. From our carbon calculation to the support we have offered our local community. We’ve worked extremely hard this year, and we’re happy to collate everything into one simple report that showcases the efforts of our team, suppliers, customer and candidates all helping us achieve our mission.

There Is No Plan[et] B

As a company, we’re committed to playing our part in supporting not only our local community through pledge 1% but supporting our planet through our climate-positive workforce. We’re passionate about ensuring our company is 100% climate positive by working with companies such as Ecologi, Leaders For Climate Action and becoming BCorp Pending!

This is the bare minimum we can do as a business as our planet is fast approaching a global disaster and we are always looking for ways to contribute to reducing carbon emissions through different initiatives.

This is just the start, and we’d welcome you to join us and make your own climate commitment.

What Do We Support?

Carbon Reduction

We work with Ecologi to invest our into a broad range of projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Each month together we support a wide range of carbon reduction projects. They’re certified by Gold Standards and equivalent. The funding strategy is guided by their climate committee and follow the Project Drawdown framework.

Tree Planting

Crucial in preventing ecological collapse, tree planting is now known as one of the best tools to tackle the climate crisis and stop our temperatures from rising above 1.5C.

We work with Ecologi who have a wide range of amazing partners who are responsibly planting millions of trees every single month. See below how you can contribute and join us in the fight to stop climate change.

Who are Ecologi?

Ecologi was founded by a group of environmentalists from Bristol, UK. They were frustrated that many of us were not able to contribute to the global disaster that we are currently speeding towards.

Elliot founded the business in early 2019 on his way into the office. Buying a coffee, a pretty normal everyday routine, he asked himself – “How much climate action could I fund with the price of a coffee?”.

That led to the start of Ecologi.  Eliott and the team have since worked tirelessly to allow companies like WeEngage, and many others, for the price of a coffee to reduce their carbon footprint.

We welcome you to join us in the fight against climate change.

Our Carbon 2023 Calculation

Our main objective this year was to gauge and reduce our carbon emissions to understand the carbon hotspots in our business. Recognising the importance of collaborating with an experienced and credible entity skilled in both carbon evaluation and offsetting, we teamed up with ClimatePartner. Their proficiency and proven track record ensured a comprehensive and impactful process.

Below you will find the link to the full, detailed, Carbon Calculation.

Our 2024 Focus Areas & Goals

Our team has dedicated significant efforts to reduce our impact on the environment. Recognising that there is always room for improvement, we are continuously seeking ways to excel. This year marked a pivotal moment as we conducted our first-ever carbon audit, providing insightful information. With guidance from Climate Partner, we identified the key areas in our operations with the highest emissions. In the coming year, we plan to collaborate closely with them to significantly lower these emissions. Our partnership with Ecologi has been fruitful, and we look forward to expanding our involvement in the following year. Our commitment is steadfast towards substantially cutting down our emissions and modifying our business practices to ensure our environmental footprint is as minimal as possible. We are pleased to be totally transparent about our carbon calculation and would invite anyone to join us in total transparency of theirs too!

Our carbon calculation has shed light on the critical areas within our business. In the upcoming year, we’ll concentrate on those sectors of our emissions that hold the potential for further reduction such as through our commitment to refurbished, and pre-loved tech equipment.

We aim to maintain our partnerships with Ecologi and ClimatePartner, ensuring that the carbon emissions we generate are offset by high-quality carbon credits and impactful environmental projects.

A key area for improvement is implementing more frequent carbon calculations. Assessing our emissions annually poses retrospective challenges, so we’re eager to develop a process that enables us to calculate emissions on a more regular and detailed basis.

In 2024, our goal is 80% of all technology & electronic equipment will be pre-loved and refurbished. We feel this is the biggest way we can help reduce the carbon emissions in our business as technology plays a vital part in how we work and operate. We understand the E Waste is a huge problem, and something we need to tackle.
